Here Are the Winners of the Depositphotos Photography Contest 2020
We know you’ve been waiting for this moment to come and so have we! You can finally find out who the winners of the first Depositphotos Photography Contest are below… but first, we’d like to briefly remind you of the theme, rules, and other contest details.
How we chose the winners of the Depositphotos Photography Contest
This summer Depositphotos launched their first photography contest to support independent photographers in their artistic and professional pursuits. The theme of the contest was “Authenticity 2.0” to encourage participants to share their vision of authenticity, capturing candid moments in everyday life.
To provide creative freedom, every photographer could submit up to five images to the contest. Other requirements were to fill in a form, tag the official account of the contest @depositphotos_contest, and include a short description of an image submission as a continuation of the hashtag #authenticity_is.
These simple rules, as well as the inspiring theme of the contest resonated with many. In just one month and a half, 1884 photographers submitted their works to the contest and shared over 5,200 images under the hashtag #authenticity_is.
Today, on October 1, 2020, we are ready to name the three winners of the Depositphotos contest. Their works got the highest scores from the contest judges that evaluated the works based on the following criteria:
- Adherence to theme
- Uniqueness of concept
- Creative composition and framing
- Technical excellence/execution
- Overall artistic impression
