Who beats whom when it comes to buying stock photos—Depositphotos insights

While developing new search by image instruments for Depositphotos website, we took pairs of words—closely releted, yet opposite in some respects—to see which of each pair was more popular as attributes in files bought at least once.

That’s how we got this list of subjects customers prefer to use for their commercial products. Maybe those insights could be useful for marketing and design experts among your readers.

blonde+brinette

Photos identified with keywords brunette or brown hair sold 46% less than those with blonde. Coffee does 289% better than tea.

 

iPhone is 351% more popular than Android

black 6473 is 102% less popular that white

Windows is 314% more popular than Mac

Canon is 110% more popular than Nikon

mobile leads desktop by 780%

meat leads vegan by 30%

car is over 1000% more popular than bicycle

sexy leads smart by 953%

Pizza deliveryman loses 1500%+ to plumber

New York is behind London by 411%

Facebook is 420% more popular than Twitter

Avengers lead Ghostbusters by more than 1000%

dogs lead cats by 129%

smartphone leads tablet by 310%

human leads robot by 332 %

Next two are really close:

Rihanna leads Beyonce by just 15%

Bad leads good by just 3%

Peace still leads war by 60%

Superman beats Batman by 302%
