First Lady of the United States Michelle Obama hugs her husband after his final speech as the President. Barack Obama spoke in Chicago, where in 1996 he was elected as senator and started his political career. During his speech, the outgoing US President started crying when he thanked his family for their support.

A robot, developed by Taiwanese engineers, plays chess with the visitors of CES, a trade show of electronics in Las Vegas. This is how its creators show its abilities to see and evaluate the situation, as well as move small objects. They think that this robot can be used in manufacturing and service industry.

January 16, 2017 – Turkish Cargo Plane Crashed in a Residential Area in Kyrgyzstan

Boeing 747 cargo plane crashed today, on January 16, 2017, in a residential area near Bishkek. Avia Cargo Turkish liner rented by Turkish Airlines was going to land at Bishkek airport in thick fog. According to the current reports, the crash killed 37 people and destroyed 32 homes.

January 17, 2017 – Growing Car Sales in China

New cars at the parking lot in Shenyang, Liaoning province in northeast China on January 16, 2017. China announced it has reached the three-year peak of growth in car sales: according to the China Association of Manufacturers, in 2016 it was 13.7%. This is attributed to the reduction of the tax for buying cars with engine capacity of less than 1.6L.
