It is well-known among stockers that in order to become a Depositphotos contributor, one needs to pass an examination. For this exam, aspiring contributors submit samples of their best work to be evaluated by Depositphotos’ inspectors. If their files are of a sufficiently high quality and have commercial value, they will be approved as Depositphotos contributors. Today we’d like to announce several improvements to the examination process.
Recently, when Depositphotos started accepting videos for sale, the initial exam was modified. Now contributors can choose the type of files to submit for examination: five photos or vector images, three videos, or both.
Regardless of the type of files submitted, users who pass the exam will gain access to all of the contributor features of the website, and will be able to upload both videos and images for sale.
In addition to the freedom to submit either type of files, contributors will see that Depositphotos has greatly simplified the file uploading procedure – for test files as well as for regular contributor uploads – with the addition of drag-and-drop functionality. Examinees and contributors just need to select their best files and drop them into the uploader area – that’s all there is to it!
Contributors can submit their identification documentation in the very same way.
Another improvement to the submission process allows potential contributors to add links to their portfolios on other websites, or other stock sites. The larger and better their portfolios on other sources, the more benefits they can get from Depositphotos. For instance, we give our contributors with large portfolios an opportunity to take part in the Promotion Program, where they can: receive $0.10 for each accepted file (up to 500 images or videos); enjoy expedited approvals from inspectors; have Depositphotos assign attributions to files for free; and many other things.
Contributors can add up to five links.
We’ve tried hard to make the examination process even more convenient and user-friendly, and we’ll keep on working on other improvements. Hope to see you among Depositphotos’ contributors soon!
